Configuration Equipment Containers Containers view

The Containers view displays the containers that exist at the current scope level. You can add new containers, and edit or delete existing containers from this view. This is also sometimes referred to as the master container list.

When you delete a container in this view, N4 changes the Operator Id to UNK and the Life Cycle State from Obsolete to Active. When receiving a deleted container through the gate, EDI, preadvise export, or stowplan, N4 updates the Operator Id that is mentioned to the Container form (on page 1). Also, when a container has an active or advised unit, N4 displays the following error message and does not allow you to delete the container: 'Can Not Delete Container XXXX9999999 as it has Active or Advised Unit exits'

In addition, you can use the Actions menu to:

You cannot purge a container, if the container is a part of a unit in the Units view (on page 1).

To add a new record:

  1. In the list view, select the record(s) that you want to edit or delete.
